Compliance monitoring and enforcement for hazardous waste handlers in the state that are not required to have a permit to treat or store hazardous waste at their facilities.
Jurisdiction includes large and small quantity hazardous waste generators, conditionally exempt small quantity generators, hazardous waste transporters, universal waste facilities, marketers of hazardous waste fuel, and used oil transporters and facilities. This includes facilities that are privately owned/operated and those owned/operated by federal, state or local governments (excluding Department of Defense facilities).
Provide technical assistance for the commercial reclamation of batteries, antifreeze, used oil and fluorescent light bulbs.
Groundwater and soil investigation and remediation for hazardous substance releases regulated under the Georgia Hazardous Waste Management Act. |
